Devon provides a wide range of fishing options, and Lydford is central to them all. The coasts provide superb rock and offshore fishing, as well as the increasingly popular saltwater flyfishing for bass and mullet. Our rivers are some of the most famous in Britain, providing principally game fishing for salmon, sea trout and brown trout, but also excellent coarse fishing in the lower reaches of the Exe and in canals, and much of the freshwater fishing is available on inexpensive visitor permits.
