Situated in Lydford House grounds, the stables offer a holiday for you and your horse. We have 12 good size boxes, a sand school and secure tack rooms. There is ample parking for lorries and trailers.
The moors at the top of the lane provide superb hacking with spectacular views from the top of nearby tors, alternatively there is excellent riding in the nearby Lydford forest and along the many hidden bridal ways that traverse the area. There are a number of local inns which can be passed providing a much needed watering hole for both man and beast alike!! If you are wanting to grab a bite to eat in the saddle, packed lunches are provided on request.

Maps can be provided on arrival or alternatively go to www.ridedartmoor.co.uk and plan and down load your routs from home. We have a number of willing local riders who for a small fee are happy to ride out with your party as a guide.

For those wanting a complete break it is possible to arrange full livery but this must be requested well in advance.

Hunting horses can be arranged for experienced riders on a daily hire basis.

Local riders can contact us concerning DIY livery and use of our sand school on an hourly basis.
